The Collins Collective, a family of brands designed to elevate your wedding day, has added a new venue to their repertoire: The Collins at the Clocktower. Nestled in the heart of downtown Chelsea, MI, this venue is the perfect blend between historic and modern. Couples that are seeking a timeless spot to tie the knot–look no further.

Built in 1906, this Michigan treasure, constructed after the industrial revolution, is officially seeing it’s next evolution: wedding celebrations. Located in the heart of Chelsea, right outside of Ann Arbor, home to the world famous Jiffy factory, this thriving town has everything you and your guests will need to experience your wedding day weekend.

Location and Setting: The Hallmark-esque town of Chelsea, with it’s city feel and small town vibe, houses the Collins at the Clocktower. On the streets, you’ll find brick buildings covered in ivy, the glow of twinkle lights in the alleyways, and lucious landscapes. Inside the walls at the Collins at the Clocktower, you’ll find a beautiful building stripped down to it’s original bones, enhanced with a modern black and white design, boasting 280 degrees of bay windows letting in all of the natural light your heart could desire. One of my favorite parts about this venue? On wedding day, couples are able to go to the highest point in the Clocktower–the Clockface–to snag one of a kind, timeless photos. Between the town and the venue itself, couples have a plethora of photo locations to choose from for their captures. No matter what time of year you are looking to tie the knot, this all season wedding venue is the perfect spot to say “I do”. If you’re opting for a warmer month for your wedding celebration, be sure to check out their courtyard for their outdoor cocktail hour upgrade.

Amenities and Accommodations: The Collins at the Clocktower prides itself on providing five-star service for all couples, guests, and vendors, as well as an array of amenities and accommodations to ensure that your wedding day is all you dreamed it to be. Included in your venue rental are all taxes, fees, and insurance, so you don’t have any surprise costs. Additionally, you’ll have dedicated ceremony and reception spaces, two spacious getting ready rooms, all different types of included decor, planning services and more. Every detail at the Collins at the Clocktower is carefully curated to help couples enjoy not only their wedding day, but the wedding planning process too.

Open Vendor Policy: One of the best things above this venue? They include so much, taking many of the little items off of your plate, while still leaving you the freedom to choose your own vendors. A preferred vendors list will be provided to you after booking at the venue, but you are not required to select vendors off that list, even though it is encouraged. As long as your vendors are licensed and insured, they are good to go! Catering and bar teams that are not on the preferred vendors list are simply asked to come in for a tour of the facility ahead of wedding day, so logistically, they know what to expect, so no one is left with surprises on wedding day. We love that the Collins at the Clocktower provides vendors with a “vendor lounge” as well; a space where they can drop their things, refresh, and even eat dinner!

Personalized Service: At Collins at the Clocktower, you’re not just another couple – you quickly become family. Our staff is committed to bringing your wedding vision to life, offering personalized service and transparency every step of the way. You’ll have your own project on their wedding planning software, Aisle Planner, that you will have access to, to assist you in the months leading up to the big day. Additionally, you’ll have onboarding, timeline, design, and layout meetings with their planning team. And if that wasn’t enough, you have the opportunity to attend their monthly open houses with family and friends, and be added to their personal Facebook group, where all past and current Clocktower couples are able to network, ask each other questions, and get recommendations for what to do and what not to do. From the initial onboarding to the planning stages, all the way until the moment you say “I do,” they’ll be by your side, ensuring that your day unfolds seamlessly and nothing is missed.

But don’t just take my word for how amazing this new venue and their team is! Be sure to check out their five-star reviews on Google and Facebook, and view their Vimeo to hear testimonials from past couples.

If I piqued your interest to learn more about Collins at the Clocktower, visit their website (collinsattheclocktower.com) to view available dates and pricing, included amenities, and to book your tour! You’ll quickly discover why this southeast Michigan venue was nominated as a Hour Detroit Best Special Event Venue for the 2024 season. Sending wedding wishes your way!
